Slide rules & Event information
Before booking, please make sure you have acknowledged our slide rules.
Who can take part
-
Minimum age: 4 years old. Children aged 4 to 17 must be accompanied at all times by a participating or supervising adult. Children aged 4 -6 must be accompanied on the slide by an adult with an 'adult entry ticket' (over 18) at a 1:2 ratio. Those aged 7 -17 must have a responsible adult present on site at all times, either spectating (no ticket required) or taking part (ticket required). The supervising adult remains fully responsible for them throughout their visit. Children aged 17 and under are not admitted unaccompanied on-site.
-
Confidence in and around water is essential - the slide ends in a splash pool. If you cannot swim or are uncomfortable in water, please do not book.
-
Mobility - all sliders must be able to climb the staircase to the 5m platform unaided, or with personal assistance from a member of their party. We are not able to lift or carry sliders.
-
Pregnancy - we do not permit pregnant participants to slide.
-
Medical conditions - if you have a back, neck, joint or heart condition, recent surgery, are prone to dislocations, suffer from epilepsy, fainting or seizure disorders, or have any other condition that could be aggravated by impact or sudden water entry, please do not slide. It is the slider’s responsibility to declare pre-existing medical issues and to seek medical advice in advance if unsure.
-
Open wounds, infections, contagious illness - please do not attend.
-
Alcohol and drugs - no alcohol or drugs are permitted on site. Anyone visibly under the influence will be refused access or asked to leave without refund.
What to bring / wear
Clothing
-
Swimwear, beachwear or sportswear is fine, as long as it has no exposed rivets, studs, zips or metal hardware.
-
We strongly recommend covering exposed skin (rash vest, leggings, T-shirt, wetsuits) - there is a real risk of friction burns on a 100m slide.
-
Wetsuits are strongly recommended, particularly on cooler days.
Footwear
-
You must wear non-slip footwear on the slide. Acceptable: grip socks, trampolining socks, wet shoes / beach shoes, or wetsuit boots.
-
Not permitted: trainers, tennis shoes, flip-flops, sliders, or any other footwear; bare feet are not permitted on the staircase.
-
Grip socks are available to purchase on-site
Eyewear
-
Glasses are worn at your own risk. If you need them to see, they must be secured with a glasses band or strap. We cannot accept liability for lost, damaged or broken eyewear, or injury caused by it.
-
Goggles are recommended.
Jewellery and accessories
-
All jewellery must be removed before sliding.
-
Earrings that cannot be removed must be covered with waterproof plasters (bring your own).
-
Empty all pockets, no keys, phones, coins, wallets, vapes, or anything sharp on the slide.
-
Watches and fitness trackers must be removed.
-
Long hair tied back.
Cameras / phones on the slide
-
Personal phones and cameras are not permitted on the slide, staircase, platform or in the splash pool. A phone falling from the 5m platform is a real hazard to staff and other sliders below.
-
Spectators may take photos from designated viewing areas.
-
A professional photographer may be on site during your visit.
-
Personal cameras on the slide may be permitted by prior arrangement only. Please contact us for more information and permissions.
What else to bring
-
Towel and a change of dry clothes
-
Sun cream
-
Water bottle
-
A bag for wet kit
-
Debit or credit card for refreshments - we are a cashless site.
When you arrive
-
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your session start time to check in.
-
The safety briefing is mandatory and starts approximately 5 minutes before your session. Please ensure you read signage on entry for slide rules.
-
The last slide is called 10 minutes before the end of every session to allow the slide to clear safely for the next group.
-
No refunds for late arrival. You’re welcome to slide for the remainder of your session, but no extension or refund will be given.
-
If you’re late, we’ll still brief you separately if we can, but session time is not extended.
-
Please arrive changed and ready to slide. We have no changing facilities available for those arriving, only those leaving.
The Slide Rules
These rules apply on the slide, the staircase, the platform and the splash pool.
-
Always follow the staff’s instructions. Staff have full authority to refuse or stop a slide. Anyone who fails to comply will be removed without refund.
-
Wait for the dispatcher’s signal at the top. Never set off until told to do so - the previous slider must be clear of the pool.
-
One slider per lane at a time unless using a permitted double ring or as directed by staff.
-
Slide head-first on your front, or feet-first on your back, if wearing wetsuits. No standing, kneeling, sitting upright, or attempting tricks. No diving in.
-
Keep arms and legs inside your slide line - no grabbing the side walls, no trying to slow yourself down with hands or feet.
-
No running on the staircase, platform, walkways or pool exit area. The surfaces will be wet.
-
One person at a time on each step of the staircase, holding the handrail.
-
No running at any time. If you finish sliding before the end, please walk down to the end splash pool. Running could result in falling.
-
Clear the splash pool immediately after landing - exit via the designated route. Do not stop, swim, play or wait in the pool. The next slider may already be on the way.
-
No food, drink, chewing gum or sweets on the slide, staircase, platform or splash pool.
-
No glass anywhere on site.
-
No rough play, pushing, racing or “trains” of multiple sliders. Do not interfere with other sliders.
-
Do not climb up the slide, the side walls, or any part of the scaffold structure.
-
Do not slide if you are unwell, injured, or in any of the medical categories listed above.
-
If you fall, are unsure or change your mind on the platform, tell the attendant. Sliding is voluntary every time - you can always step away.
-
Listen to the lifeguard / pool attendant at all times.
